70 -- COMPUTER & SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR H53 NOSE GEARBOX TEST STAND SOL M00146-00-Q-N259 DUE 072700 POC Deborah Berget, Contract Specialist, 252-466-7766/Fax 252-466-8492 The Naval Aviation Depot located at the Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC has submitted a procurement request for a computer system upgrade (CSU) of the computer system and software for the H53 nose gearbox test stand located at the Naval Aviation Depot, Cherry Point, NC. The CSU will replace outdated computers and software while facilitating Y2K compliance as well as improving overall system performance. The H53 nose gearbox test stand computer system displays, records, and controls all physical parameters required for depot testing of H53 nose gearboxes in both automatic and manual modes. A personal computer (PC) with Windows 3.1.1 as its operating system is currently the nucleus of the system. Labview is used as the test application software platform. Testview is the test application software. The Windows 3.1.1 operating system is not Y2K compliant as well as being outdated and not supported by its manufacturer. The existing personal computer (PC) and peripherals, as well as operating system and test application software shall be replaced. The CSU shall consist of replacement of the existing PC, upgrade to Windows NT operating system for the PC, as well as replacement and upgrade of test application software.
