a synopsis of a requirement for ship repair. This is a request for
quotation (RFQ) number DTCG80-00-Q-3FAM10. This RFQ will incorporate
provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-16 The standard industrial classification code is 3731 and
the size standard is 1000 employees. The requirement is for the
following: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment,
parts, services, and competence to complete the following dockside
repairs on the USCGC TAHOMA (WMEC-908): 1. Renew HVAC unit. 2. Renew
deck coverings. 3. Renew chilled water pipe insulation. 4. Renew
insulation and lagging. 5. Clean and inspect heat exchangers. Place of
Performance: New Bedford, MA. Performance period: July 19 to September
3, 2000. Specifications to be provided on request. A non-refundable
charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified check or money
order payable to the U. S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. The
government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to
the responsible offeror whose conforming to the solicitation will be
most advantageous to the government, price and other factors
considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offer:

will be awarded as part of the Small Business Competitiveness
