IMPROVEMENT OF TRANSPORT MODELS AND DOCUMENTATION The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is planning on awarding a sole source contract utilizing the Simplified Acquisition procedures of Chapter 13 of the FAR to Rogers and Associates Engineering Company 515 East 4500 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84107. The award will be to do the following: The purose is to obtain a contract to make model modification to improve both PRESTO-EPA-CPG and PRESTO-EPA-POP models, to expand model documentation, and to conduct the feasibility study on the adaptation of the models to FRAMES. Based on the available resources, the contractor shall perform the following tasks: Task 1: Upgrade PRESTO-EPA-CPG/POP Environmental Transport Models. Task 2: Upgrade PRESTO-EPA-CPG/POP Interface Program. Task 3: Feasibility Study on Adapting PRESTO to FRAMES. Task 4: Develop PRESTO Flow Diagrams. Task 5: Adapt the groundwater portion of PRESTO-EPA-CPG model to FRAMES. All of this work is to be completed in approximately six (6) months. It is the belief of EPA that no other contractor possesses the fundamental expertise necessary to accomplish this work in the time allotted.
