Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the repair of island at the Main Gate. Work is to include the demolition of concrete curbs and walkways on the island. Removal of all brick pavement and groundcover and the replacement of existing entrance sign and concrete base with new precast concrete and illuminated sign. Concrete cobblestone pavers are to be installed in locations where brick walkway was removed. A new iron grated trench drain will be connected to an existing manhole. Finally a decorative cannon and pole lights are to be installed to restore the island to its historical architecture. The performance period for this project is 105 days after a Notice to Proceed. The contractor shall be required to perform the demolition work on premium time to eliminate disruption of Government services. (SIC Code 1542, size standard $17.0M) A site visit will be held on or about 5 July, 2000. The approximate cost of this project is between $25,000 and 100,000. This includes an additive portion for the installation of new shrubs and groundcover. This work is located at the National Imagery and Mapping Agency facility at 3200 South Second Street, which is east of Broadway and south of Arsenal Street in the City of St. Louis.
