This is a Request for Information for Strategic Anti-Jam SHF Satellite Communications Modem Technology. PM DCATS is surveying industry to determine the current capability of key technologies and products to support production of a strategic SHF Anti-Jam/Anti-Scintillation Satellite Communications Network Modem. This modem is envisioned to provide interoperable digital voice and data communication capabilities of up to 10 Mbps in jamming and scintillation stressed environments, with low probability of exploitation. It will be capable of maximizing AJ protection through simultaneous shared utilization of at least 135 MHz of frequency bandwidth. Additionally, it will provide a simple Network Manager. Interested parties are invited to provide information concerning their capabilities. This information may be submitted NLT 45 days after the release of this announcement to the address listed below or presented in person by contacting the Contracting Officer and scheduling a one-on-one. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. Any information submitted by respondents to the synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted in response to this Request for Information. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach, and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. A decision not to respond to this announcement will not preclude Offerors from bidding on any potential subsequent solicitation.
