The AmeriCorps*National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) has a requirement for two items for members and team leaders who engage in team-based service projects for unmet needs in areas of the environment, disaster relief, education, and public safety. The two items are a vest and a backpack. Both items must be delivered to five separate locations in the United States by August 15, 2000. Specifications for each item are as follows. The vest must be constructed of a black micro polar fleece. The fleece fabric must weight at least 320 grams per square meter. A NCCC five-color 3.75 inches x 2.25 inches logo is embroidered on the left breast. A total of 2,500 vests are required in sizes ranging from small to 4X-large to be shipped to five different locations Denver, Colorado, San Diego, California, Charleston, South Carolina, Washington, DC, and Perry Point, Maryland. The quantities to be shipped to each location and for each size are as follows. The Central Region in Denver, Colorado will receive a total of560 vests to include 60 small, 100 medium, 140 large, 120 X-large, 60 XX-large, 40 XXX-large, and 40 XXXX-large. The Western Region in San Diego, California will receive a total of 575 vests to include 80 small, 150 medium, 160 large, 125 X-large, 40 XX-large, 10 XXX-large, and 10 XXXX-large. The Southeast Region in Charleston, South Carolina will receive a total of 550 vests to include 60 small, 150 medium 160 large, 120 X-large, 40 XX-large, 10 XXX-large, and 10 XXXX-large. The Capital Region in Washington, DC will receive a total of 465 vests to include 50 small, 60 medium, 125 large, 100 X-large, 50 XX-large, 50- XXX large, and 30 XXXX-large. The Northeast Region in Perry Point, Maryland will receive a total of 350 vests to include 65 small, 100 medium, 75 large, 75 X-large, 15 XX-large, 10 XXX-large, and 10 XXXX-large. The second requirement is a black backpack that is at least 2,000 cubic inches and constructed of a fabric of 1,000d nylon. An NCCC five-color logo sized at least 4 inches x 7 inches and is silk-screened on an outer pocket or flap. 500 backpacks are required for delivery by August 15 in the following quantities to the five locations: Central Region, Denver, Colorado 125; Western Region, San Diego, California 125; Southeast Region, Charleston, South Carolina 125; Capital Region, Washington, DC 65; and Northeast Region, Perry Point, Maryland 60.
