The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), Bethesda, MD is announcing this competitive Broad Agency Announcement for research and development to support Automated Feature Extraction/Change Detection. This BAA will be available on or about 16 June 2000 at http://164.214.2.59/poc/contracts/contracts.html. The NIMA website will be used to publish all BAA documents, schedules, notices and will provide a questions and answer forum between offerors and the Contracting Officer. This effort is for research into new and innovative approaches and solutions to the challenges of: automating the creation and maintenance of Foundation Feature Data (FFD), Mission Specific Data Sets (MSDSs), and geospatial site models; developing robust automated geospatial feature extraction capabilities; and implementing change detection. Interested parties may submit a proposal. In conjunction with the above mentioned web site, this announcement represents the totality of available information regarding this acquisition. Revisions to the BAA will not be published in the CBD, therefore, interested parties should stay apprised of this solicitation, including revision information and answers to submitted questions, by checking the NIMA/PC public web-site above.
