FIXED PRICE REMEDIATION CONTRACT WITH COST CAP INSURANCE FEATURE (FORMERALLY GUARANTEED FIXED PRICE REMEDIATION -- GFPR). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District intends to issue a draft Request For Proposal for the FIXED PRICE REMEDIATION CONTRACT WITH COST CAP INSURANCE FEATURE (Reference DACA45-00-R-0013). The major components of this RFP include the following: Firm-Fixed Price Contract, Underwriter Protection for the Government, Performance Based Statement of Work, Site Specific Acquisition, and Cradle-to-Grave Concept. This initiative is an Army pilot project to award contracts to remediate environmental contamination at selected Army sites based on a firm fixed-price. Prospective offerors and other interested parties are asked to provide feedback on the darft RFP as found on the Omaha District Homepage at http://www.nwo.usace.army.mil under the "Contracting Opportunities" section.
