The project consists of two items, 445 acres and 83 acres. The contractor will be required to remove an estimated 1413 CCF of merchantable logs and 58.3 green tons/acre of biomass material in item #1 and an estimated 265 CCF of merchantable logs and 58.3 tons/acre biomass in item #2. Estimated start work date 09/01/00. The project is located on the Sierraville Ranger District and may be reached from Sierraville via Highway 89 and Highway 49 to Loyalton, then south on Sierra County Road #860 for an average of 15 miles to the project area in the vicinity of Sardine Valley.
