The VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York at Syracuse intends to make a sole source award for preventive maintenance and repair service for General Electric Advantx L/C Single plane Cardiac system with insight service software and glass coverage. The justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The contract shall be for a base year and four option years. Negotiations will be held directly with the manufacturer's representative of this equipment General Electric Company, 480 East Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Offerors who request a copy of the solicitation and/or simply provide a statement that they can provide the required items will not be considered. Responsible sources may respond by submitting information identifying their capability to supply such a service with adequate technical information for the Government's evaluation. This information shall only be considered if clear and convincing evidence is provided that the offeror can meet the requirements of the Government. This information shall include technical and pricing data. This notice of intent is not a request for proposal, however, all responses received before June 29, 2000 will be considered.
