59 -- PIEZOELECTRIC FIBER ACTUATOR This notice informs of a NASA technology showcase on July 18, 2000 at NASA's Langley Research Center, Hampton, Virginia. This showcase features a high-performance, lower-cost, easily manufactured piezoelectric fiber actuator technology. The actuator can be surface mounted or embedded into composite structures of complex shape for motion or vibration control, damping or sensing. NASA researchers will be on hand to discuss the technology and demonstrate the operating characteristics. NASA is interested in licensing the technology to qualified candidates in the private sector in accordance with federal regulations. This announcement is not a Request for Proposals.
