The TRADOC Acquisition Center, Leavenworth (TAC-L), Fort Leavenworth, Kansas intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Vernon Technologies Solution, under authority of FAR 6.302-1, for the lease of computer hardware in order to conduct the Army Functional Assessment (AFA) of the WARSIM Build 2 code. Specifically, SRV SUN E250 (512/K Dual 300 MHZ/2 nine gig/10,000 RPM/Ultra SCI Disk Drives) hardware will be utilized. The hardware required must match existing hardware in order to maintain consistency in the operation of the testing software. The period of performance is approximately 5 July -- 16 August 2000. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is within the discretion of the Government.
