Contracting Officer, (401)736-1767 Contractor shall provide all labor,
material, supervision, and transportation to perform lead paint
remediation at U.S. Coast Guard duplex Housing, Cape Elizabeth, ME. The
work includes removing lead paint from the entire basement concrete
floor except fuel tank room, removing 2'x4' suspended ceilings in
basement play room and store room, removing wood paneling from walls in
storeroom, removing 1 1/4" wide x 3/4" T&G lead painted full height
wainscotting planking off all walls indicated on basement demolition
plan, removing (7) existing basement lead painted doors, jambs, and
casing trim and replacing with new wood doors, jambs and casing trim,
removing deteriorated interior basement wall/slab expansion joint
filler strip, remove (1) basement lead painted wood window, jamb, sill
and trim, and close up opening with wood studs and drywall; removing
flaking lead paint off 7'high concrete walls under front portch,
constructing new drywall enclosure around basement furnace in location
indicated on drawing. Minor electrical lighting required. Encapsulate
existing lead painted basement wood stairs including risers, treads
and stringers with plywood. Close up underside of basement stairs with
drywall. Paint all exposed lead painted concrete basement walls with
a Lead Barriers Compound (LBC) paint. Paint the entire basement lead
painted 1 1/4" wide wood plank ceiling with Lead Barrier Compound
paint. Cut one 6" round hole in first and second floor and attic floor
in location indicated on plans and install a new 4" PVC, Schedule 40
vertical pipe. Furr out pipe with wood studs and drywall. Plaster patch
and paint touch-up disturbed areas, and incidental related work.
Estimated cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. SIC
code is 1542. Solicitation packages to be available on or about
