The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) sole source contract for commercial items to ION Industries, Inc. 131 Middle Island Rd. Medford, NY 11763 in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency. ION Industries is the only supplier/manufacturer of the S-280 shelter mounting tie-down assembly for the International Standards Organization (ISO) style truckbed. The S-280 tie-down kits (PN TK 4596/TK-1) are to be utilized with the M-series five-ton trucks modified with the ISO type cargo bed. The anticipated quantities are twenty-eight (28) S-280 tie-down kits with deliveries to begin 30 days after contract award. No RFP is available for competitive purposes.
