National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases
(NIDDK) has a requirement to purchase a KinTek Stopped-Flow, standard
configuration w/2nd Photomultiplier Tube with Power Supply and
Anisotropy Filter Set including spectral analysis package from KinTek
Corporation, 7604 Sandia Loop, Suite C, Austin TX 78735. The instrument
must have the capacity to monitor the absorption spectra, fluorescence
emission at two wavelengths, fluorescence anisotropy, and optionally,
the fluorescence emission spectra. The instrument must have a deed
time of less than two msec, and have the ability to carry out three
sample mixing. The minimum sample volume required per experiment must
be 300 microliter or less with less than 40 microliter of a reactant
per shot. In addition, the instrument must be suitable for following
reactions that take less than a second to many minutes. To the best of
the Governments knowledge they are the sole manufacturer and
distributor of this equipment. Interested vendors may identify in
writing their interest with a capability statement to the Contracting
Office prior to the closing date of this notice. This notice of intent
is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses
received before the closing date of this notice is solely within the
discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered
solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive
procurement. It is anticipated that Request for Quotation (RFQ)
NIH-NIDDK-00-559 will be available fifteen (15) days after the
publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due
ten days (10) after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date
is July 11, 2000. Request for copies of the RFQ must be in writing to
the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases
