The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is planning on awarding a sole source contract, utilizing the Simplified Acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 to National Academy of Sciences Transportation Research Board 2101 Constitution Avenue, NW Washington DC 20418. A brief description follows of the work to be performed. Through this contract, the NAS and TRB will encourage the appplication of environmental sciences to transportation policy and practice and to disseminate information of interest to the transportation and environmental research community. Sponsorship will furnish staff, facilities, supplies and other services as may be required in support of transportation-related energy and environmental research activities of TRB and the dissemination of the information. EPA will become a member of the Execute Committee which determines the overall policies and activities of the TRB. EPA will have access to more than 25 committees of direct interest to the Agency. EPA will have access to workshops, committees, conferences, information services and the National Conference.
