This is a synposis/solicitation (RFQ-00-00005) for maintenance agreements on Thermo Jarrell Ash equipment prepared in accordance with the format in Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR 12, subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05. This is a sole source requirement in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b). EPA intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order (PO) for two maintenance agreements on a Thermo Jarrell Ash Atomscan 23 and a Thermo Jarrell Ash ICAP-61E for one year in Denver, Colorado. The following clauses and provisions apply; FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3, shall be included with any offer, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. EPA intends to award to Thermo Optek Corporation, 8 East Forge Parkway, Franklin, MA 02038. The closing date for RFQ-00-00005 is June 28, 2000. The anticipated award dated is July 5, 2000.
