Deborah Smith-Castle, Contracting Officer (301) 827-7160 The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to award a contract to the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in Washington, DC, for a project entitled: Risk Assessment Science and Engineering Fellowship Program. The contractor will provide FDA with selective Fellows. The Fellows shall provide scientific and technical input on issues relating to human health economic, or environmental aspects of risk assessment and risk management. AAAS Fellows will (1) advise on hazard identification and probability of occurrence of unwanted events, (2) engage in development of methods for assessing risk, (3) provide scientific expertise in monitoring and evaluation and (4) support critical analysis for policy review. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
