The USDA, Forest Service, Alaska Region plans to acquire professional and original audio and video products consisting of Digital Video Disks (DVD), professional Video Masters (Digital Betacam, Betacam SP, or D2), and Audio Compact Disks for the new exhibits in the Begich, Boggs Visitor Center (BBVC) in Portage Valley near Girdwood, Alaska. Audio and video production will generally take place in Portage Valley, Portage Pass, Prince William Sound, and in studio settings. The estimated start date for this requirement is scheduled for July 30, 2000 with a completion date of March 1, 2001; however, the schedule may change. The on-location work may be remote and only accessible by chartered boat or plane. Video production will consist of a commbination of studio and on-location interviews, as well as scenery and wildlife. Audio production will include ambient sounds and personal interviews. The Forest Service will provide detailed descriptions of all video and audio segments to be produced including interview questions, audio scripts, talent, location,and information on access to locations. The Contractor shall furnish all material, supplies, tools, equipment, personnel, travel, and lodging for all non-Forest Service employees necessary to complete: (1) Original video and audio productions in the field and studio locations, (2) Finished deliverables (Video Masters, DVD's, Audio CD's), (3) Production elements (multichannel audio-music, narration, sound effects, ambient sounds and speakers' voices; Editing video masters; Character generation; Computer graphics; Attract screens; Captioning; and digital audio and video effects).
