Medcom Contracting Center intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for installation of a Diesel Exhaust Extraction System at the specified Fire Station(s)at Fort Sam Houston Army Base, Texas using simplified acquisition procedures. The contractor shall provide all material, and equipment necessary, both diesel and automotive gases, and particulate of operating vehicles within the confines of specified fire stations. All necessary controls, motor, fitting, louvers, ductwork, blower(s), labor and other equipment and materials specified shall be part of the bidders work. The Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) are mandatory for award and payment. The solicitation will be issued on or about 20 June 2000; a site visit is scheduled for 0900hrs (9:00am) 29 June 2000. This will be the only site visit. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) DADA10-00-T-0163 is set aside for small business. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 1799 and related small business size is 7 million. The estimated cost of the project is under $100,000.00. Funds are not currently available for this project but is expected to be available in the future.
