Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate sole source procurement
with Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, 50 Frontage Road, Andover MA 01810
for the acquisition of Custom Synthesis of Polchlorinated Biphenyls.
The purity of chemicals shall be at least 99% pure by GC/FID and GC/MS.
The PCBs shall not contain as a contaminant any 2,3,7,8-chlorine
subtituted dibenzofurans at concentrations above 10 ppb. Quantitative
specifications for mixture include: +/-5% for PCDDs/PCDFs and PCB77,
PCB77, PCB126 and PCB169; and, +/-3% for all PCBs. These chemicals will
be used in ongoing projects, so for continuity of analysis it is very
important for the chemicals to be from the same source. EPA believes
Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, is the only vendor capable of
satisfying requirements stated above. No Solicitation is available. All
interested parties who believe they can provide the required services
should fully explain their capabilities in writing within 15 days of
the date of this announcement. The intent of this synopsis is to
determine if any sources (s) exist and, therefore, no RFP is available.
Consequently, any response(s) failing to provide the aforementioned
data but instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting
a copy of the RFP will be ignored. Submit response to the U.S. EPA,
