THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The 20th Contracting Squadron/CS&P is conducting market research to seek qualified sources capable of providing maintenance and operation of two 60 ton diesel electric locomotive over 7 miles of government track. Work includes switching in and out of 750/950 cars annually loaded with general and hazardous cargo. Locomotive engineers must be qualified and certified in accordance with the Federal Railroad Administration to operate the engine. Full compliance with FM 55-21 Railway Operating and Safety Rules must be followed. Daily, Monthly and Semiannual inspections are required. Brake adjustments and brake shoes changed as necessary. Engine Oil & Filters changed every 500 hours, repair/replacement of Traction Motor Cable and motor shrink insulation as soon as visible cracking/splitting of old insulation occurs.
