S. Department of Energy (DOE) intends to award a simplified acquisition on a non-competitive basis, to the CWC Group, a London consulting firm/conference organizer. The CWC Group will provide information and meeting services for a conference sponsored by DOE and the Spanish Ministry of Economy, scheduled to be held in Madrid, Spain on July 14-15, 2000. The conference is entitled "World Oil Market Data: A Case for Better and More Timely Information." The CWC Group is currently providing similar services for an international conference on oil prices and investments in London, England on June 11-12, 2000. Because many of the desired attendees and speakers are already scheduled for the June conference, the conference organizers agreed to combine their conferences and proposed to "merge" the two conferences by utilizing the CWC Group's services and contacts to the benefit of both parties. This is a Notice of Intent and not a request for proposals, however, all proposals received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
