The appropriate Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for the SAFTAS program as a whole is 8742. However, to be considered a small or small disadvantaged business, a proposed subcontractor does not necessarily have to meet the size standard for SIC 8742. Instead, it must meet the standard for the service it provides on the subcontract. 2. The small business subcontracting goal is 10% of the total contract value. 3.
