A solicitation is not currently available, however, the following description is provided to assist offerors in determining their interest in providing the requested services. Services, Non Personal: Contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, materials, and supervision necessary to perform packing, crating, and movement of household goods services for members at Columbus AFB. Services will be performed in accordance with Personal Property Traffic Management Regulation (PPTMR) DOD 4500.9R, Oct 91, and the Performance Work Statement (PWS) which will be included in the solicitation package. Potential offerors must provide evidence of government approved warehouse. The estimated performance start date is 01 January 2001. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 4783. For the purpose of this procurement the small business size standard is 18.5 Mil. Small Business (SB) concerns should indicate interestin this acquisition by providing to the Contracting Officer, not later than 15 calendar days of this notice, evidence of his interest to perform this requirement and a positive statement of eligibility as a small business concern. If adequate responses are not received from small business concerns, the acquisition may be solicited on an unrestricted basis.
