Change the description as follows: The work shall consist of furnishing and applying bentonite to an existing gravel surface on 16.55 kilometers of the Lowman-Bear Valley Road #582 and 19.23 kilometers of the Middle Fork Payette River Road #698. Contractor shall supply and mix bentonite into the gravel at a rate of approx. 2.5% by dry weight by the Travel Plant Method. Work also includes reconditioning the existing surface, traffic control, and contractor quality control of materials. The Lowman-Bear Valley Road leaves Hwy 21 at approx. Milepost 73. From Boise, Idaho, take Hwy 21 for 39 miles to Idaho City. Continue on Hwy 21 for approx. 33 more miles to Lowman. The Lowman-Bear Valley project starts at the intersection with Hwy 21 just past the Banks-Lowman Hwy 17. In addition to the above, the following project location is added: The Middle Fork Payette River Road #698 is north of Crouch, Idaho. From Boise, take Hwy 55 north to Banks, turn right onto the Banks/Lowman Hwy (FH 24), follow the South ForkPayette River approx. 21 kilometers (13 miles) to Road 698, the Middle Fork Payette River and Crouch cut off. Continue through Crouch approx. 14.2 kilometers (8.8 miles) to the Forest Boundary where the project begins. Est. start date is 8/15/00 (Lowman-Bear Valley Road project) with 15 calendar days for completion. Est. start date for the Middle Fork Payette River Road project is 9/5/00 with 20 calendar days for completion. Est. price range is between $100,000 and $250,000.
