Offerors are advised that the cost of any response to, or other cost incurred as a result of this solicitation is at the Offeror's own risk. Unless funds are made available for this requirement, no contract will be awarded. The United States Air Force announces a forthcoming solicitation for the furnishing of all construction and supervisory services, including, but not limited to: All plant, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to construct an addition for, and make repairs to, the Fire Station Bunkroom, Building 1721, Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. All civil, mechanical, and electrical services will be provided unless specifically stated otherwise in the solicitation. The final contract shall be firm-fixed-price. There will be 240 calendar days from the receipt of the notice to proceed, including lead times and prep time, to complete the work. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $500,000.00 and $800,000.00. The basic bid portion of the solicitation, as described below, falls under a statutory limitation of $500,000. This amount cannot be exceeded. BASIC BID: The principal work to be performed for the basic bid included, but is not limited to, demolition and removal of existing piping and ductwork, existing hung ceilings, lockers, electrical, heating, and ventilation systems, partitions, vehicle exhaust systems. Also included are providing and installing new Bunkroom cubicles, constructing additions to the present Bunkroom, new finishes throughout the Bunkroom facility, repair and adjustment of the HVAC fire suppression system, constructing a new cubicle with individual controls and telephone connections. Also, any patching, carpentry, painting, roof top support, and flashing necessary to restore the interior and exterior appearance. OPTIONS: The following items of work shall be awarded as options to the basic bid: providing and installing a new Vehicle Exhaust System, a new HVAC rooftop unit, and new landscaping adjacent to new Bunkroom addition.
