This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 126, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is unrestricted; all responsible sources may submit an offer. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number RFQ-IBET-17-00-005 applies and is issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16. The Standard Industrial Code is 5032 and the business size standard is NTE 100 employees. The Forest Service need is for the supply and load of trucks with screened, pit run aggregate material with fines, screened to inch minus. Equivalent to Caltrans Class 2 Aggregate Base. Material shall be free from organic matter and other deleterious substances, and shall be of such a nature that it can be compacted readily under watering and rolling to form a firm, stable base. Aggregate may not contain recovered material. Aggregate shall confirm to the grading and quality requirements: Sieve Size 1" with 100% Passing; Sieve Size 3/4" with 90-100% Passing: Sieve Size No. 4 with 35-60% Passing; Sieve Size No. 30 with 10-30% Passing; and Sieve Size No. 200 with 2-9% Passing. Approximate date for pick up -- June 26, 2000. Base will be hauled and placed by others to Forest Road 16N92 which is located on the north side of Brockway Summit, Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit in California. This is a fixed price contract for one line item as follows: LINE ITEM 01 Estimated Quantity NTE 5,500 TONS. Price to be submitted shall be based on FOB plant, no delivery, unit of issue/ton, and no sales tax. Award will be made on the best value to the Government.
