Contract S-OPRAQ-95-D-0594 was competitively awarded by the Department of State to GTE Government Systems (now DynCorp Information Systems LLC) on July 5, 1995, for the purchase and installation of Nortel Meridian telephone systems at State's overseas posts. The contract consists of a one year base and nine 12-month option periods (through July 4, 2005). It is the Department's intent to extend the capability to purchase site surveys, telephone systems and equipment, and installations, which currently expires on July 4, 2000, for one additional year through July 4, 2001.
