The U.S. Army Materiel Command Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division proposes to award a sole source contract to Digital Instruments Company 112 Robin Hill Road, Santa Barbara, CA for an upgrade from a Nanoscope III to IIIA control station. This upgrade will provide state of the art hardware and proprietary software that will be supported by the contractor. The proposed contractor is the only one that makes an upgrade for the Tapping Mode Nanoscope Atomic Force Microscope which is currently being used here at this installation and it must be compatible.
