The Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) of the Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) requires research support in the area of Engineering Processes for Facility Delivery Activities and Facility Sustainment Management. Examples of the work that may be requested includes, but is not limited to, research on knowledge based and artificial intelligence (AI) methodologies, developing simulation models, developing collaboration models, developing generative spatial grammar models, providing facility delivery support, designing and developing construction planning management and quality assurance methodologies, performing energy analysis, developing maintenance management strategies and systems, and building simulation computer algorithms. ERDC intends to award multiple indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts for a base period with four (4) additional option periods. Awards are anticipated on a line item basis, with various line items set-aside for exclusive participation by Small Businesses or by Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Zones. In addition, a preference is anticipated to be offered to Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Institutions (HBCU/MIs). Task orders issued under the awarded contracts may be issued on either a firm fixed price or cost reimbursable basis.
