The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command-Warren (TACOM-Warren) will be issuing a Request For Proposal for the acquisition of System Technical Support (including design analysis, failure analysis, and testing under a variety of environmental conditions) of military combat track and suspension systems, subsystems, and components. The planned contract covers 5 years for a total 68,500 hours of support. The estimated release date of RFP DAAE07-00-R-L024 is June 28, 2000 and the closing date for proposal receipt will be July 31, 2000. Numbered Note 22 applies. The contract is anticipated to be on a cost-only basis (no fee) with the sole source: Michigan Technological University, Keweenaw Research Center, Houghton, MI. The sole-source expectation is based on the range of geographic and climatic conditions available at the contractor's test track, and on its unique and specialised laboratory test capabilities and experience testing military combat track and suspension systems and components. However, any proposal received from another source will be evaluated for possible competition. The solicitation will be issued in electronic format, and only electronic proposal responses will be accepted. The solicitation will be posted on our web site as given below. Contractors will be required to submit their response in one of the following electronic media: 100 megabyte Zip-disk, e-mail, 3 1/2 inch disk, or 650 megabyte CD ROM. E-mailed offers are to be sent to the buyer identified below. The subject line of email submissions must read "Offer-DAAE07-00-R-L024 Closes July 31, 2000." Note that the maximum size of e-mailed offers shall not exceed 3.5 megabytes. Compressed files must be self extracting and must be furnished with appropriate instructions to open and expand the compressed files. Offerors are reminded to provide the following additional information with each proposal: Company Name, CAGE code, DUNS Number, and the email address where you would like correspondence sent. All offerors must be registeredin the Central Contract Registry prior to receiving any award.
