This is a combined CBD synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, F41624-00-R1101 is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Classification is 7699, Not Elsewhere Classified, with a small business being one with 5 million or fewer employees. There is (1) Contract Line Item Number (CLIN), CLIN 0001, Quantity: 419 M/H. Contractor will remove and dispose of all hazardous materials from the National Stock Numbers (NSNs) listed on Bid Schedule. (SEE Exhibit _A_. All NSNs begin with 6665 stock class number. Once hazardous material(s)have been removed, subject items are to be returned to the government inventory with the original condition code tags affixed. Contractor shall comply with MIL-STD-130, preservation, packing, and special packaging instructions stipulated on the AFMC Form 158 (Packaging Requirements) (See Exhibit _D_) and DD Form 2169 (Special Packaging Instructions),(See Exhibit _B_ for Special Packaging Instructions.) Hazardous materials associated with each NSN are also listed on the attached Bid Schedule, (Exhibit "A"). Gas cylinders and cartridges may contain a multitude of different type gases and may or may not be flammable. Each should be handled as specified in the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Batteries and battery packs may or may not contain electrolyte, sulfuric acid or lead acid in one form or another and should be handled as specified in the appropriate MSDS. They shall be purged/discharged safely, neutralized, rendered useless and disposed of in accordance with local city, state and/or federal regulations. Oxygen sensors contain potassium hydroxide and shall be handled as specified in the appropriate MSDS and shall be purged/discharged safely, neutralized, rendered useless and disposed of in accordance with local city, state and/or federal regulations.
