This project replaces the existing pile collar/hoop fabrications attaching the timber frame floats at Portage Bay and Tonka Mountain to the float piles with new pile collars; installs a new walking surface/deck on both floats; removes the existing timber planking on the Portage Bay float access gangway and installs a fiberglass grate walking surface in place of the planking; and removes and replaces the preservative treated glue-laminated timber bullrails at the Tonka Mountain LTF. The Petersburg RD LTF is located at the Portage Bay and Tonka Mountain Log Transfer Facilities on the Petersburg Ranger District. Petersburg, Alaska. The project sites are accessible by float plane or boat from Petersburg. Contract time is 120 calendar days. The estimated price range is $25,000 -- $100,000.
