NOTICE: Install an automatic entrance gate with remote control panel
and renovate Building B-48 and adjacent facilities within the Navy's
Trumbo Point and adjacent to Coast Guard Group in Key West, Florida.
The work includes: 1) providing a single-cantilevered gate constructed
of lightweight aluminum alloy along with masonry posts and short
length walls, 2)installing an A/C system with ductworks, 3) replacing
the electrical panel and associated conduits and wiring, 4) performing
miscellaneous interior space renovations, 5) performing asphaltic
paving and striping work, 6) painting the entire two-story building
exterior, and 7) demolishing two small buildings including the concrete
foundations. Minor environmental related activity is anticipated under
this project along with the proper disposal of debris to state and
county approved disposal facility. The estimated price range is between
$250,000 and $500,000. It is anticipated that the solicitation package
will be available in early July 2000 and the bid opening in August
2000. The contract performance time is 120 calendar days. This action
is being considered for 100 percent HUBZone small business set-aside.
Interested HUBZone businesses should indicate their interest to the
Contracting Officer in writing as early as possible to be received no
later than 15 calendar days of this notice. As a minimum, the following
information is required: (a) a copy of the certificate issued by the
SBA of you qualifications as a HUBZone concern, (b) a positive
statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as
a prime contractor, (c) evidence of experience in work similar in type
and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts,
and points of contacts and telephone numbers, and (d) provide evidence
of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project, to
include both single and aggregate totals. All of the above must be
submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on
availability of interestedHUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all
information requested will result in a contractor not being considered
as an interested HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received
from HUBZone concerns by close of business 15 calendar days from the
date of this notice, this solicitation will be issued on an
unrestricted basis pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program without further notice. Therefore, replies are
requested from large and small businesses, as well as from HUBZone
concerns. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code
is 1541 with size standard of $17.0M. Bid guarantee, payment, and
