The government intends to acquire modification of three (3) AN/APN-209J Radar Altimeters to provide a Low Probability of Intercept and Low Probability of Detection (LPI/LPD) capability for use on the MH-60K and MH-47E Army Special Operations Aviation aircraft. The effort will modify three (3) existing systems to provide a 5000' digital output and significant reduction in fore/aft and left/right detectable signature. This is a RDT&E effort to produce three advanced developmental models (ADMs). The effort will be procured under simplified acquisition procedures, on a sole source basis, to Honeywell Corporation. The SIC Code is 3728; the small business size standard is 1000. This is a DO-A1 order. The RFQ will be issued on 7/5/00.
