The US Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command, is planning to upgrade 170-200 M60 Series Tanks for a Foreign Military Sales customer. Quantities may increase as other Foreign Military Sales customers request similiar upgrades in the future. Upgrades include replacing the current armament with 120mm smooth bore cannon and Abrams-type Fire Control, and may include suspension and powerpack upgrades to handle the extra weight. The plan is to apply upgrades in the FMS customer's country.
