This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement consitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. F65503-00-T0428 is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation is subject to the clauses and provisions in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. The solicitation is set-aside for Small Business and falls under SIC Code 3535. Line items: (1) MKII Powerscreen with a 37 H.P. air-cooled diesel engine and 16 gallon fuel tank. Must have a 6_ x 4_, four bearing, positive action, side tensioned, two deck screen head and come with 1/4_, 1/2_, 3/4_, 1_, 1&1/2_ and 2_ screens. Long and short tail chutes will also be supplied. Machine must be a completely mobile scalping/screening system. Must be fitted with a high performance single shaft swinging flail type shredder. Must have fifth wheel coupling, hydraulic jacking and quick fit towbar to provide maximum on/off site portability. Machine must come with a grid comprising free-floating bofor grid bars fitted with a remote control activated hydraulic tipping kit.(Remote tipping grizzly) Bearings must be able to be greased without removal of safety guards. Engine must be fully protected by an automatic shutdown system with warning lights indicating the source of the problem, i.e.-low oil pressure, high engine temp., air restriction, fan belt breakage and emergency stops. (2) Powerscreen M60 conveyor. Must be a mobile, radial loading, high capacity stockpiling conveyor with diesel/hydraulic drive system. Must come complete with feedboot, ballast box, towbar, coupling facility for hydraulic drive, hydraulic height adjustment, radial wheels (300 deg. arc) and guards. Static stockpile capacity must be 460 cubic yards or greater and radial-thru 60 degrees stockpile capacity must be 1,300 cubic yards or greater. Delivery will be to Bldg. 3425, Warehouse Ct., Eielson AFB, AK 99702. Must include onsite setup and installation to include 2 days of operational training. Must also include 2 sets of owner_s manuals and parts lists.
