This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-00-Q-0252 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-17 and DCN 2000414. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this procurement is 3825 and the size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 Multimode Test Kit, P/N 0701-7045, Quantity 5 each; CLIN 0002 Measurement Quality Jumper, P/N 6877804-07, Quantity 5 each; CLIN 0003 Measurement Quality Jumper, P/N 6877804-08, Quantity 5 each; CLIN 0004 Fiber Optic Repair Kit, P/N 0701-7030, Quantity 5 each. This requirement will be satisfied by using a sole-source procurement to Kitco Fiber Optics, Inc, 5269 Cleveland St., Virginia Beach, VA 23462, because this is the only source that will meet the exact specifications to interface with existing equipment. APL's and technical documentation have been written that are specific to this special test equipment and is in place throughout the Trident Submarine Community. Delivery is required F.o.B. Crane, IN 47522 within 30 days after award. Final inspection will be at NSWC Crane, IN. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
