provided to questions submitted by a prospective vendor: Q.1. Is there
an incumbent contractor? A.1. Yes there is an incumbent. Q.2. If so,
could you please provide the name of that contractor? A.2. The
incumbent contractor was North Light Community Center of Philadelphia,
PA. Q.3. What was the previous contract dollar award? A.3. The
previous award was $25,000.00. Q.4. Did the same incumbent previously
perform on the contract for the Student Environmental Development
Program in Wilmington, Delaware recently released as RFQ-00025-JR? A.4.
The incumbent has only performed on the Philadelphia Student
Environmental Development Program. Q.5. It appears that the program
runs from approximately July 6 to August 23. Could you please provide
the anticipated program dates? A.5. The program runs from July 6, 2000
through August 23, 2000. Q.6. Is it the responsibility of the
contractor to provide a site to house the classes? A.6. The contractor
for the Philadelphia program does not provide a site for the classes.
The classes are to be at the Philadelphia EPA office. Q.7. What is the
approximate amount of the stipend paid to the thirty(30) students? A.7.
Each student should receive a stipend of $300.00 plus daily
transportation costs. Student mentors should be paid approximately
minimum wage. Q.8. Has there previously been more than one
Environmental Science Teacher? A.8. We have always had one
Environmental Science Teacher, but we have supplemented the program
with additional teachers from other specialities in the past. Q.9. Does
that teacher(s) develop curriculum or use EPA curriculum? A.9. The
teacher develops curriculum and also uses the established EPA
curriculum. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. End of
