BROAD AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR OVERSEAS R&D BROAD AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT (BAA) OF JUNE 2000 RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES OF THE EUROPEAN RESEARCH OFFICE (ERO), A DIVISION OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND STANDARDIZATION GROUP-UNITED KINGDOM. The ERO is announcing topics which comprise its current scientific and technological program for Europe, Africa, Middle-East, India and South West Asia. This BAA continues the modest program of very competitive R&D in the ten topical areas of engineering and natural sciences listed below. Competitive contracts are anticipated. Academic and not-for profit R&D groups are especially encouraged to participate. Proposed research will be evaluated using the following selection criteria: (1) Scientific and technical excellence with special emphasis on innovation, originality and uniqueness. (2) Relevance to ERO goals, mission and program objectives. (3) Qualifications of the principal investigator and key staff and the adequacy of the available instrumentation and facilities. (4) The cost including its reasonableness and cost sharing/fee, if any. Prospective investigators may obtain further information via written request from the ERO at the above address.
