: This is Amendment 1 to Solicitation Number F04693-00-R-0005,
Reference Number 35. The original publish date was 17 Apr 2000. The
response date has been changed to 11 Aug 00. The projected contract
award date has been changed to 15 Sep 00. The phase-in period has been
changed to 15 days. The address of the Operational Contracting
Division responsible for the solicitation is as follows: SMC/PKO, 400
N. Douglas St., Suite 212E, (Los Angeles AFB), El Segundo, CA
90245-4659. The anticipated release date of the RFP has been changed to
30 Jun 2000. Receipt of proposals are anticipated to be received on 11
Aug 2000. The 61st Air Base Group Logistics' Division (61 ABG/LG) has
a requirement for Logistical Services on Los Angeles AFB, which
includes operating the Standard Base Supply System and Vehicle
Operations. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business set-aside and the
Government anticipates the award of a Fixed Priced Contract with Award
Fee containing a basic contract period and four one-year options.
Thebasic contract period is 1 October 2000 to 30 Sep 2001. The
projected contract award date is 30 Aug 00. A phase-in period of 15 --
30 days is also anticipated. The requirements for a phase-in plan will
be delineated in Section L of the forthcoming Request For Proposal
(RFP). The SIC Code for this requirement is 8744. The following
information provides a brief synopsis of services required: (1) Process
requests, storage, and issue of supplies and equipment, (2) Provide
customer services and research capabilities, (3) Maintain
accountability records of equipment, (4) Provide pick-up and delivery
services, (5) Operate Hazardous Material Cell, (6) Provide Medical
Logistics services, (7) Operate, insure, and maintain vehicle fleet,
(8) Operate Base Motor Pool, (9) Operate Packing and Crating section,
(10) Provide Distinguished Visitor (DV)/VIP transportation support,
(11) Operate LAAFB/Ft MacArthur shuttle service, (12 ) Manage mobility
bags & chemical warfare assets to support contingency operations;
provide required ground transportation; and coordinate movement of
personnel by any required mode of transportation, (13) Verify legal
entitlements and official authorization for travel, (14) Counsel
deployed personnel on transportation entitlements, baggage allowance,
special conveyances, customs restriction, and travel related to Air
Mobility Command, (15) Manage functions in the Do-It-Yourself Program;
coordinate with organizations involved in the process; and perform
administrative assistance for completion of necessary documents. This
requirement services approximately 1,500 military personnel, and

The anticipated release date of the RFP is 12 May 00. The RFP will be
published via the Electronic Posting System (EPS) and the files will be
in Microsoft Office format. Receipt of proposals are anticipated to be
received on 27 Jun 00. The successful offeror must be registered in
the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base. An Industry Day is
planned for this requirement with specifics detailed in the RFP. Posted
