The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program intends to extend the existing lease of a YF-120-GE-100 engine and an engine transportation unit to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE). The leased property will continue to be used for static displays at international air shows, trade exhibitions, and special events. Additionally, the property may continue to be used to support research and product improvement activities of the lessee, including, but not limited to, new technology insertion in support of the Joint Strike Fighter alternate engine program. This extension will be for a 15-month period, beginning 1 August 2000, and concluding 15 November 2001.
