will be hosting the March 2001 Ocean and Coastal Program Managers'
Conference which is scheduled to be held in Washington D.C. during
March 2001. OCRM has a requirement for a Conference Meeting Package and
a Convention Services Manager to assist in all aspects of planning the
event that will accommodate 300 attendees. Please note that guest room
accommodations (approximately 400 persons for three nights) will also
be needed but will be handled directly by the attendees and not through
this requirement. The selected hotel must provide a Conference Meeting
Package that meets the following criteria: 1) Availability of meeting
facilities during March for a four (4) day period, preferably Monday
through Thursday; 2) Located within city limits of Washington D.C. with
convenient access to Metro (i.e. within three blocks of a stop for each
of the Metro Red line and the Metro Blue/Orange line) and other public
transportation; 3) Availability of meeting facilitiesthat are
configured per specifications and have the capacity for: A. Plenary
sessions for 200 attendees on Tuesday from 8:30-11:00 with theater
seating, Wednesday from 8:30-9:00 with theater seating, and Thursday
from 9:30-12:00 with theater seating; B. Lunch for 300 attendees with
round tables and a stage for speakers on Tuesday and Wednesday from
12:30-1:30; C. Break-out sessions on Tuesday for groups of 100, 100,
and 100 from 10:00-5:00 with conference table seating; D. Break-out
sessions on Wednesday from 9:00-5:00 and Thursday from 8:30-10:30 for
groups of 50, 50 and 50 with theater seating; E. Separate exhibit space
for 25 exhibitors that is 8 ft by 8 ft.; 4. Audio/ Visual equipment
(i.e. microphones, projectors, screens, flip charts); 5. Continental
breakfast and AM/PM breaks for three (3) days for 300 attendees; 6.
Reception Wednesday night for 300 attendees from 7:00-10:00; 7.
Separate conference office space approximately 500 sq ft.; 8. Separate
storage space; 9. Registration area available 24 hours. Please note
that proposed meal menus must be within the established government per
diem rate. Interested parties are invited to submit information as to
their capabilities and any other pertinent data along with a total
package price for the entire meeting package based upon a per person
rate to the address above for consideration or fax responses to (301)
713-0806 with submission to be received no later than 15 woring days
from date of this notice. Award will be made on a "best value" basis
using simplified acquisition procedures and Subject to Availability of
