The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include removing and disposing of the existing roof layers, insulation, and metal counter flashings; removing and disposing of asbestos materials; reusing or replacing drain screens and associated parts; working around existing air units; preparation of the existing surfaces to receive the new roof; removal of roof fascia and installing new roof fascia; increasing the height of the vent pipes and other projections so they will project the same distance above the new sloped roof surface as they now project above the existing roof; furnishing and installing a -inch-per-foot sloped smooth-surface, built-up roofing system with a vapor barrier; and removing and reinstalling outdoor lighting equipment as necessary; performing functional electrical checks.
