Construction duration is 360 calendar days. Work consists of constructing a 31,500 SF two story steel framed structure enclosing a basketball court, 3 racquetball courts, locker/restrooms, offices, aerobics area, a cardiac conditioning facility, a multi use area, and public restrooms. The exterior walls are masonry support brick faced with glass curtain wall window and door areas. The roof system for the gymnasium is a painted aluminum with steel trusses for support. The two story portion of the building has an EPDM type liner with parapet walls. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15.3 Source Selection using the "best value procurement process". Proposals will be closely evaluated regarding the contractor's (and major subcontractors) experience and qualifications, technical approach, and understanding of the essential sequencing of work, schedule milestones, and overall project requirements.
