The work includes the installation of a 1600 Amp, 480 Volt closed transition automatic transfer switch along with other 480 Volt interior electrical distribution modifications to the Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, Central Heating Plant, Building 152. The interior electrical distribution modifications include the demolition of a motor control center and two electrical switchboards and the installation of a 800 Amp panel to replace them. Also a 1600 Amp feeder and a 1200 Amp feeder will be installed to implement a redundant electrical service capability for the heating plant utilizing the two existing 1500KVA transformers currently feeding the plant.
