The purpose of this amendment is to correct the title of this synopsis to read "DETREX MODEL VS-2000-S STEAM HEATED VAPOR DEGREASER, OR EQUIVALENT" and to provide ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS which are required for this effort. The original specifications read as follows: VAPOR DEGREASER, DETREX MODEL VS-2000-S, SIZE 40-25-25, INTERNAL WORKING DIMENSIONS OF 48"L X 30"W X 30"H; THE DEGREASER MUST HAVE 10 GAUGE TYPW 304 STAINLESS STEEL TANK WITH 100% FREEBOARD AND AN OVERALL HEIGHT OF 82 INCHES; THE DEGREASER MUST HAVE EXTERNAL COPPER SOLVENT PIPING AND BRONZE VALVES THE DEGREASER MUST HAVE EXTERNAL STAINLESS STEEL WATER SEPERATOR WITH REMOVABLE LID AND COOLING COIL; THE DEGREASER MUST HAVE STEAM COILS THAT INCLUDE MILD STEEL STEAM IMMERSION COILS MOUNTED TO A BOLTED DOOR COMPLETE WITH SINGLE STEAM INLET CONSISTING OF A STRAINER, VALVE, PRESSURE GAUGE, AND STEAM SOLENOID VALVE; THE DEGREASER MUST HAVE A SPRAY PUMP WITH SPRAY LANCE; THE DEGREASER MUST HAVE A MOTORIZED BI-PARTING ROLL UP BRUSHED ALUMINUM METAL COVER WITH A SLOT INCLUDED FOR HOIST CABLE; THE DEGREASER MUST HAVE STAINLESS STEEL INTERIOR WORK REST; THE DEGREASER MUST HAVE EQUIPMENT MONITORING CONTROLS FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE/LOW LEVEL CONTROL, VAPOR LEVEL CONTROL, WATER FLOW SWITCH, AND VAPOR THERMOSTAT; THE DEGREASER MUST HAVE STAINLESS STEEL WATER COOLED CONDENSOR COILS; THE DEGREASER MUST HAVE TANK BODY INSULATED WITH 1" THICK HIGH DENSITY THERMAL INSULATION WITH 22 GAUGE STAINLESS STEEL SKIN; THE DEGREASER MUST HAVE A BF FREEBOARD CHILER SYSTEM WITH A TEMPERATURE RANGE OF 0 DEGREE F TO -20 DEGREE F INCLUDING FREEBOARD CHILLER COILS. In addition to the original specifications stated above, the following specifications are IN ADDITION to the specifications previously posted on original synopsis. These additional specifications are as follows: 1) The description should change to ask for a Detrex Model VS-2000-S Steam Heated Vapor Degreaser or equal. 2) The proposal from vendors should have an itemized listing of requirements as below: (a) Detrex Standard Model VS-2000-S/or Equal, Size 40-25-25 (b) Coil Guards (c) Stainless Steel Drip Pan (d) Motorized Bi-Parting Roll-up Brushed Aluminum Metal Cover (e) A BF freeboard Chiller System (f) Steam Heated Degreaser 3) The specifications should also be amended as follows: (a) The Degreaser must have external stainless steel water seperator with removable lid and stainless steel cooling coil. (b) The degreaser must have a BF Freeboard Chiller System with a temperature range of 0 degree F to 20 degree F including Freeboard Stainless Steel Chiller Coils. 4) Maximum overall dimensions of vapor degreaser will be: 74 inch length X 50 inch Width X 84 inch Height. As a result of this amendment, the closing date for receipt of quotations is extended to Close of Business June 29, 2000. Any responses received after this date will NOT be considered.
