The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport anticipates acquiring on a Firm Fixed Price basis, one (1) Type 18B Radar Camouflage Unit (RCU) as a First Article Test Unit. Its is also anticipated that Tooling for the Type 18B RCU will be acquired along with data and one (1) Type 18B RCU Technical Manual. The basic requirement will also contain a clause for Provisioned Item Ordering. It is further anticipated that options for up to 180 Type 18B RCU production units will be included in the solicitation. The Type 18B RCUs will be manufactured in accordance with government drawings, specifications and applicable documents that will be provided as Government Furnished Information. Performance under the contract will require a fabrication facility cleared to the Department of Defense (DOD) CONFIDENTIAL level and the electrical test facility shall be cleared to the DOD SECRET level. A technical proposal will be required in response to the Request for Proposals. Offerors will be required to address Technical/Management Approach, Facilities and Past Performance. The resulting contract will be awarded to the offeror submitting a technically acceptable proposal offering the Best Value to the government.
