This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). 1. All optical elements must be contained in an evacuated volume. 2. Resolution must be higher than 0.1 cm -1. 3. Spectral range must cover 10-100cm-1. 4. Both Michelson and Martin-Puplett (polarizing) configurations are required. 5. The moving mirror must be able to operate in a step-scan mode. 6. FTS must have a self-contained source, preferable in a mercury arc lamp. 7. FTS must have a chopper with operation up to 100Hz. 8. Throughput must be at least 5 cm 2 sr. 9. Control electronics sufficient to be able to command the FTS motors, chopper, etc. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-16. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery shall be FOB Destination.
